Take Interest Vol. Nadia Moro’s Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps

Let it be known, I know very little about proper modeling and photography, but I found this shoot, by photographer Nadia Moro, to be wildly deserving of an update. Don’t know what it is. Could be that the unnamed model is fucking gorgeous, the styling, or that the color palettes are rich… engaging, yet modest. Ehhh, I’m BS-ing, I’ll leave it at my love of white women who look like Angelina Jolie. She makes me feel some kind of way, haha. Enjoy!

Crystal Castles x Outkast x Raekwon

Really?! Naaaw not really, but who gives a fuck? This mix of the three prior noted artist by Skratch Bastid, deemed Skewed Empathy, still turns out to be just as surprisingly classic. So, put on your most flamboyant American Apparel headband and Polo Boots and click the link:

And as for the slow in updates, your pilot on this beautiful Quest has been involved in a project or two you should all expect to reap the benefits of very soon, look forward and keep tuned.

“Ya’ll Know The Name!”

I said I wouldn’t, but I have to! One of my favorite artist as of late, and definite place holder in my top 10-listened to albums (Internal Affairs), has finally released the first single from his coming album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), Pharoahe fuckin’ Monch. I’m a little ehhh on that album name, but whatever I’ll give it a pass. Merely off the weight of his prior work, solo and alongside Prince Po in Organized Konfusion.

But in appreciation, I’m going to be biased and place this new shit up, as well as a few of my favorite classics from his first solo effort, but keep that on the hush.

Besides, we aren’t catering, we here now at QUEST are letting you in on some quality milk, or Florida for the lactose intolerant, we feel the readers would enjoy. Listen in, we recommend.

eaRRelevant Vol. 1: We’re Baaack!

B. Ink

Oh… wait, what’s this? An update? Oh, fuck. Yesss, the hiatus is over. QUEST has finnaally made it’s faithful return! And is quite ready to get back into the spin of things after it’s R&R and making concubines out of seven native women. Yes friends, the ship has left the dock, and I, Ink, will continue to lead you through the regularly scheduled programming.

Entertaining right? Well, I’ll keep it brief for the attention deficit. The blog is officially back, and I hope over the break we retained our few… viewers and acquired a few more. But fuck all that-fuck all that, it’s a new year and we want you to continue telling your friends about us. In the coming weeks and months, come to expect more niche & local content, less of that commercial shit. You got 2dopeboyz, Complex and etcetera for that.

Expect some interesting project releases from some great upcoming artist, more event highlights, visual artist spots, beautiful women, reviews and general nonsense, to make what we’re doing here a household commodity.

I know, so many damn words! I wouldn’t make a post without something interesting, so to bring this long winded post to a close, how about some ear milk? Welcome the start to a new series we here call eaRRelevant! A tape of music, current & old, whatever we here at Quest currently have in rotation. Fuck with it, you might hear something new.

Link & tracklist down below. Or be bold and just download it off a whim of recommendation.

Jonny’s on a Break

JQHiatus

If you’ve been curious as to why updates have been slow: the fellas On-A-Quest are going on short break while the blog gets some aesthetic revisement (that’s visual, for the vocabulary challenged).

Until then, enjoy the lovely past updates till we get everything back up and moving!

P.S. In the meantime, enjoy this great new gem by the holmie, A-Y.

A-Y – Guess What

Curren$y – Life Under The Scope

Happy to see Curren$y get some well deserved recognition. Shot at Dame Dash‘s DD172 facility, something which also has sprung together a new group consisting of Curren$y, Jay Electronica, & Mos Def.

Motherfucker WHAT?! Man… I didn’t believe it either, but my music anticipation is on the brink of an overdose now.

Lupe Fiasco & Snoop Dogg – Superstar (Live)

Lupe Fiasco made a surprise show visit this past Wednesday && went on to even perform Superstar along side Snoop Dogg.

After being absent for the longest Lupe is making his presence known everywhere with these live shows and recent freestyle releases. Whatever the motive, he is assuredly succeeding in getting fans excited for the new mixtape and this Lasers project. If I may speak for us all.

Take Interest Vol. Hugo & Marie

Horologium-01

This post doesn’t in the least bit have to do with the band for which this album artwork is meant for (Horologium), but it does have to do with its artist. Or rather, the source of said artist. Hugo & Marie is an imaginative creative consultancy specializing in artist management. From the looks of it they are a graphic design firm out of NY, New York who work on all sorts of illustration.

I particularly found interest in the group’s recent album artwork, work ranging from bands such as The Decemberists to the more obscurely mentioned. Take interest, the work is remarkable.

The rest of the said album work can be found at Hugo & Marie’s Portfolio.

Music artist should look into them, their covers are incredibly enticing to the eye.

Ayo-04

The Quests endorsed, A-Y, just upped a taste of something new and linked it to us on Twitter. Keep cooking it up Got Flow && believe me it’ll get packaged and pushed.
